Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, I am currently accepting new virtual clients located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Idaho, and Florida. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • No, I offer virtual therapy only at this time for clients in North Carolina, Florida, and South Carolina via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • I am in network with Aetna. For all other insurance plans, I am an out-of-network provider and can provide a superbill upon request for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan and the benefits offered for out-of-network services.

  • Many clients can still use their out-of-network benefits to get reimbursed for therapy. Here’s how to find out if that applies to you:

Step 1: Call the number on the back of your insurance card.

Step 2: Ask the following questions:

     - Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

     - Is there a deductible I need to meet first?

     - What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?

     - How do I submit a superbill or claim for reimbursement?

     - Are there any limits on the number of sessions covered?

If your plan offers reimbursement, Dr. Chase can provide a monthly “superbill,” a receipt with all the information your insurance company needs. You would submit that on your own, and any reimbursement goes directly to you.

Note: Dr. Chase is not involved in communication with your insurance company and cannot guarantee reimbursement.

  • Private pay therapy means you pay your therapist directly rather than using insurance. This model offers more privacy, flexibility, and choice in your care.

  • Session frequency depends on your needs and goals. After your intake, we will create a personalized plan for your progress in and between sessions. Most clients start weekly and taper as goals are met.

  • Sessions typically last 50 minutes, which is standard for individual counseling.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 72 hours in advance to avoid a charge of the full session fee.

  • I see clients Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM. I do not offer appointments on nights or weekends.

  • As a high-achieving woman or mom, you are used to doing it all, but that does not mean you have to handle everything alone. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to “keep it together,” I offer a supportive, personalized space where you can breathe, reflect, and reset.

Together, we will explore what is really going on beneath the surface using proven, practical tools that create meaningful change. I use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy to help you shift unhelpful thought patterns, motivational interviewing to uncover what truly drives you, and person-centered therapy so you always feel seen, heard, and understood.

When old patterns feel stuck despite insight, EMDR therapy can help your nervous system process unresolved experiences so you can feel calmer, more grounded, and less emotionally reactive.

If you are a parent, I bring in child-centered play therapy and parent-child relationship techniques to support connection with your child, so you feel more confident, supported, and in sync at home.

My goal is not to fix you. It is to help you rediscover your strength, quiet the noise of anxiety, and reconnect with who you are beyond all the roles you juggle.
